On our recent voyage to Iceland, we came home with a suitcase full of undyed Icelandic wool and spent the following months naturally dyeing up the colors that left an impression on us. This rich, deep, brown reminds us of the varying lichens we saw as well as those Icelandic horses, of course. This wool was dyed with a locally and sustainably harvested Dead Man's Foot mushroom, (Pisolithus arrhizus).

All yarns were dyed and stored in a smoke and pet free environment. Due to the unpredictability of natural dyeing, all hanks will differ with some slight variegation. We do our best to capture the yarn's true color to the best of our abilities, but each monitor is different. Please reach out if you have any questions.
