One of the most underrated (and often hated) plants is popping up again, so it's time to re-release our special "Don't Kill Dandelions" color in time for Earth Day. This year we are releasing them on two of our bases: our bulky basalt, and brand spanking new base, a lovely DK weight named peridotite. Dandelions--and other "weeds" are some of the first food sources for our pollinator friends who are very hungry from a long winter. These plants are crucial for their survival. How can you help? Refrain from mowing (there's even a hashtag-- #nomow), do not spray them (or anything, really, please), and leave them be(e). Every single part of the Dandelion is edible--from the flowers (can you say fritters?), leaves (hi pesto, salads, pizza topping), and roots (a wonderful tea!) and has incredible medicinal properties. Total. Plant. Magic. Pollinator Project has loads of info about these and is having a lil promo on wildflower seeds! 10% of sales here will be going to the Xerces society, who protects pollinators and their habitats.

Sample knit is Turquoise Rose Hat by Tressa Weidenaar, knit by Pua.
All yarns were dyed and stored in a smoke and pet free environment. Due to the unpredictability of natural dyeing, all hanks will differ with some slight variegation. We do our best to capture the yarn's true color to the best of our abilities, but each monitor is different. Please reach out if you have any questions.
